Genuinely one of the best products I’ve ever found for my curls! It’s so hydrating and extends the life of my curls for so much longer than any other product I’ve ever used. I’ve gone through at least six of these since discovering the product and have convinced so many of my curly haired friends and family to try it too, and they’ve all completely fallen in love with it. I genuinely don’t know what I’d do without it now!

I’ve been using the product a few times now and I actually love how it makes my hair feel. Not heavy at all even when I mix with some lightweight gel. My hair feels hydrated and cute. I struggle with products and this feels so good to have.

I have been trialling this product on my curly clients, a range of curl types and hair conditions and I have found the immediate results are drying rather than hydrating for the hair. Once dry the hair feels heavy and there is a noticeable film covering the hair which gives the hair a dull and matte finish. This may be okay for some but as a curl specialist this is not ideal. I love the smell and consistency of the product, however the over all results are underwhelming. The curls need a follow up oil product to give the hair lustre and shine. This may be what you are planning or advising as a next step product?
I am not giving up on the product and will continue to recommend it to clients who want to support your brand and give it a go. It may be that I need some months to see how clients hair responds over time, although applying it to damp and wet hair, the hydrating lotion doesn’t feel like it penetrates. It might require some patience to work its magic. Good luck with your product! I hope that this feedback is helpful.

A little context: this is a curl cream rather than a leave-in conditioner, so it’s intentionally thicker to moisturise and define across a range of curl types. We always recommend starting with less and building up, as that can really change how it wears on the hair.
This is our first product launch after three years of development and a community crowdfunding campaign, built with a lot of care and within the means of a small independent brand. A follow-up oil is not something we’re actively exploring but always happy to hear recommendations.

How to use:
